    A message from Mark

Hi, my name is Mark, founder of Norwest Electrical Group. I started my trade profession as an electrician at age 16 and now, over 23 years on, I am still out there every day loving what I do.

I pride myself on offering an honest and ethical electrical service. I want my clients to feel comfortable calling me back months or years later, even if it’s to ask for ideas and guidance.

Unlike larger electrical companies with exorbitant fees and inexperienced juniors, I operate a small team which means I can service my clients directly and very affordably. It also means I can do what I do best, and that is – offer you solutions to do things better, safer, and more affordably.

We help residential homeowners, commercial and real estate property managers across Vineyard and North West Sydney, and we offer a range of general maintenance services to new electrical fit-outs.  I’d love to help so I welcome you to reach out.

Unfortunately I called about 10 Sparkys before I called Mark. Just from the phone call alone, I knew he was a professional with a lot of experience. He asked questions and asked for photos, so as not to waste my time. And he didn’t. He was on time, professional and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend him for any electrical work.

Safety tips and questions to ask your Vineyard electrician

Overloading an electrical outlet with too many devices can cause overheating and potentially start a fire. Make sure to plug only one high-wattage appliance into each outlet at a time. Using power strips doesn’t increase the amount of power the outlet can handle.

Inspect cords and wires regularly for damage. Look for frayed wires, cracked insulation, and signs of overheating. If you find any damage, replace the cord immediately. Avoid running cords under carpets or across doorways where they can get damaged or cause tripping.

Always ask your Vineyard electrician if they have public liability insurance.  This will serve as protection in the event of an accident occurring on your protect or if anyone is injured in the process.

Always ask your Vineyard electrician for a reference or past clients so you can get a feedback from actual clients with their experience.

Water conducts electricity, so it’s essential to keep all electrical appliances and cords away from water. This includes not touching electrical appliances with wet hands. Make sure outlets in bathrooms and kitchens are properly installed with Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCIs) to prevent shock.

If you have young children or pets, use outlet covers on all unused wall outlets to prevent them from sticking objects into the sockets. Keep cords and electrical devices out of reach to avoid chewing on cords or playing with electrical appliances.

Always use bulbs with the correct wattage for the light fixture. Using a bulb with too high wattage can overheat the fixture and potentially cause a fire.

When it comes to installing new outlets, wiring, or repairing any electrical problems, always hire a qualified electrician. DIY electrical work can be dangerous and may not comply with local electrical codes.
